  5.  Give me a short description of who you are!

  7. - Hello everybody I'm Persona No Grata and doing mainly some PR-Stuff
  8.   for TridenT. I keep in contact with other groups and distribute the
  9.   new releases to other researchers/viruswriters. I'm a non-virus-
  10.   writer, I only collect the stuff. As like all TridenT members I'm
  11.   living in the Netherlands. I'm somewhere in the beginning of my
  12.   twenties.

  14.  From where did you get your handle, Persona No Grata?

  16. - Well I have been using several handles over the years (like many of 
  17.   the other TridenT members). I thought Persona No Grata is a nice
  18.   name which means a person who is not welcome.

  20.  When did you discovered the world of computers?
  21.  
  22. - Well I started out on the C64 (years and years ago) after that I
  23.   bought an Amiga 500 and I got a PC since 1991 now.

  25.  How long have you been active in the scene?

  27. - In the virus scene? since the end of 1992, before that was in some
  28.   C64 and amiga groups.

  30.  What part(s) of the underground do you think needs improvements?

  32. - Dont think any part of the virus 'underground' has to improve. It's
  33.   just that the european virusscene should be more active
  34.  
  35.  Have you been involved in any other group than Trident?
  36.  
  37. - Not in any other virii-group, think no TridenT member has been in
  38.   another virus-group. Because when TridenT started the contacts
  39.   between virus writers werent that good, nowadays people get on the
  40.   internet and start chatting on irc.

  42.  Who started/created Trident?

  44. - John Tardy and Bit Addict started the group some years ago, think
  45.   after that Masud Khafir joined etc.

  47.  What's the groups goal?

  49. - The contact between the 'members' is just on a friendly bases, we
  50.   dont have any bosses or people who think they are better than the
  51.   rest. We dont push people to release virii every week/month. A
  52.   TridenT virus only is released when it's good enough. We got stacks
  53.   of experimental virusses which were never released and will never be.

  55.  How many people are you?

  57. - It differs from time to time, handles come and go ;)

  61. - let's just stay with John Tardy, Masud Khafir, Bit Addict, Dark
  62.   Helmet, Crom-Cruach and DarkRay.

  64.  Do all of them program, if not, what's the others job?

  66. - All of us program, just some of us dont use their ablitities to
  67.   make virii.

  69.  Who are the "leading/head-persons" in the group?
  70.  
  71. - We dont have any leading persons. We dont need it and there never
  72.   will be any one who is bossing people around. TridenT members are
  73.   free to come and go.

  75.  How is Trident (currently) organzied?

  77. - It's not organized in any way... We used to have our own TridenT
  78.   mail-network but we are currently taking it easy :(

  80.  Can anyone ask for membership, or are you a "private" group?

  82. - I get this question more often then normally. Well we like to stay
  83.   all dutch. But if a person is really good w'll consider it.

  85.  What responses have you had about TPE?
  86.  
  87. - If you say TridenT, 8 of 10 people say TPE (maybe because Masud
  88.   named it TridenT Polymorphic Engine?).

  90.  Even thought polymorphic engine's are a great thing, not many
  91.  people seems to use them? You have any theorie why they don't?

  93. - Oh well people use them allright I think.

  95.  Have you ever thought of/are you currently releasing some sort of
  96.  electronic magazine (text/executable/hard-copy)?

  98. - We've had several discussions about that, but we even couldnt agree
  99.   on the name, we thought of TridenTial and when we finally agreed on
  100.   it, we couldnt agree wether to put sources in it or not... One day
  101.   we (John Tardy in a drunk mood) started typing text but when we woke
  102.   up the next morning we sobered and putted it on disk somewhere (where
  103.   it probably still is).

  105.  Are you into other things such as hacking and phreaking aswell, or
  106.  just viruses?

  108. - I think I'm the only one in TridenT who is doing hacking/Phreaking
  109.   although I cant do it as frequent as I like to do it. :((

  115.  Can you name a few viruses that Trident has written?

  118. - Well just take patricia's vsum and search for all Origin: The
  119.   Netherlands think 95% of it is made by TridenT..

  121.  Do you have any sort of company or law-enforcement who are trying
  122.  to hunt Trident down?

  124. - Probably the CRI who has got a special division called Computer Crime
  125.   (Computer Criminaliteit (Dutch)).

  127.  If so, are they a real threat or just "childish"?

  129. - Well I think it's 'childish' but it could be a real threat to TridenT
  130.   however.

  132.  Have you ever had any trouble in the group with the result of kicked
  133.  member(s)?

  135. - Nope, we only gave members warnings when they did something 'stupid'
  136.   but that's mutual I think ;-)

  138.  How good are Trident comparing to other groups (P/S & NuKE?)
  139.  
  140. - Well NuKE isnt active anymore, and most of the virii they released
  141.   suck. (though NuKE has some good programmers). Phalcon/Skism has
  142.   made nice virii and I also like their magazine (40hex is the best
  143.   around) and the guys are always around on the internet.

  145.  Do you call out aloth, and if so how?

  147. - I call out sometimes, but mosttimes to the internet. In the
  148.   Netherlands there are only a few good boards so.

  150.  Do you have any couriers that spread your products around?

  152. - Nope, I only send it via the internet and that's it.

  154.  What do you think about the laws against h/p/v that has arrived
  155.  lately?

  157. - It sucks and there are still a lot of 'holes' in it. It's not clearly
  158.   written and we just have to wait till there is a test-case so we
  159.   really know what and how.. (not-implementing anything here ;-))

  161.  What do you think about various news-papers thinking us as nerds?

  163. - I dont read news-papers ;-)

  165.  Do you see any differences between the scene now and a couple of
  166.  years ago (concerning the underground part ofcause)?

  168. - The scene is more open than a couple of years ago. Contacts between
  169.   other virus writers was difficult.

  171.  Which virus-magazine do you think is the best avalible now-a-days?

  177. - I dont admire any of them. Liking is another word.

  182. - Probably the usa,because most of them hang out there (ofcoz the
  183.   country is big etc).

  187. - I like the idea, not the people using it. Every dickhead can create a
  188.   'virus' nowadays.

  192. - It's good for virii collectors (cause they can say they got 5000+
  193.   virii on line) but that's about it. I dont like people uploading
  194.   files to boards like 'newgame.zip' with in it some virii.

  225. - As you see, magazines and groups come and go, I've seen 14 year old
  226.   kids who start programming and like to create virii. The last years
  227.   the virus business has been booming several new virii come out each
  228.   day.

  234.  Any advice to people who want's to learn the basic of virus-writing?

  236. - Well if you got internet access join the #virus channel on irc. Get
  237.   ahold on 40hex that's pretty much about it.

  241. - Just continue releasing the Insane Reality magazine, I hope it comes
  242.   out as frequent as the Crypt Magazine ;-)
